The Escola Internacional del Camp celebrated Maths Week, an annual event, between 14th and 18th March. Students developed various projects according to their age groups.  ESO students produced mathematical decorations around the school, for example geometrical patterns, and mathematical clocks. Last November, from 16th to 20th, we celebrated the Science Week, one of the five special weeks we have in our school. As always, Science Week was a very educational week. The students were very excited to participate in all the activities and they learned a lot. The topic of Science Week this year was light, which caught the students' attention. What a fantastic experience!
The children and teachers of the EIC celebrated Halloween and the Castanyada with the kind help of mums and dads. They made panellets and roasted chestnuts (and tasted all of them), as well as dressing up as castanyeres and singing traditional songs. A number of mums and dads also helped with face painting for students who wanted to be transformed into real Halloween monsters.
The Community Service Club organised a toy collection jointly with the Red Cross. There was a very high level of support from our families and 173 toys were collected for children of different ages. Alongside toys, we also collected school equipment such as pencils, markers, pens, crayons paper, etc.
The students of History of Art (Bachillerato Social) travelled to Paris in October to see first hand the works of art which they have been studying during the course. The visited the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, focusing on the Renaissance, Baroque, Neo Classicism, Romanticism and Avant Garde. On Wednesday the 15th of October, 3rd & 4th of ESO went to Montserrat, a 1.236 meters high multi-picked mountain. It’s Catalonia's most important religious retreat and groups of young people from all over Catalonia make overnight hikes at least once in their lives to watch the sunrise from the heights of Montserrat. For one week (from the 28th of September to the 2nd of October), grandfathers and grandmothers became the focus of attention in our school.
