Sosciathlon project presented in the EIC

A representative of the NGO Sosciathlon, Carles Morillo Navas, was in the EIC last week to explain their charity project to the Primary and Secondary students. On 8th of October Sosciathlon organized the third edition of this charity race, helping to raise money for different organisations. This year the event took place in Cambrils. The money raised in this race is divided between two charities chosen by the organisation.

Las year the NGO raised 11,110 Euros in the charity race which was in Salou, helping to finance projects in the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona (child cancer) and Alianza Española de Familas de Von Hippel-Lindau (a tumour disease with no cure). In addition, the organisation also gave six wheelchairs to five schools in the town, including the EIC, to help students who need disabled access to move more easily around the school and/or school activities.
