Goodbye, Isi

On January 23th we lost our colleague Isibel (Isi) Rodríguez for unexpected health issues. Isi arrived at EIC four years ago to do a placement in P1 and P2 classes and then she joined us as a support teacher for children’s siesta time. Later she worked in the EIC shop, a job where she invested great effort and enthusiasm in recent years. Isi always had a gesture of support, a sweet word, a smile for everybody and especially for students. She always said that “Being a teacher is the best profession in the world!”.

As a sign of respect and gratitude, on January 28th, the Sports Hall hosted a memorial event in her name. The whole school community took part, together with Isi’s family. It was an emotional ceremony in the presence of the lemon tree chosen by her family, which will be planted in our “Memory Garden”.
