The EIC receives a solidarity-based wheelchair from the NGO Sosciathlon

The EIC is one of five schools in Salou to receive a solidarity-based wheelchair from the NGO Sosciathlon, with Santa Maria del Mar, Elisabet, Europa Voramar and Escola Salou.

Thesix wheelchairs were handed over in Salou Town Hall, in the presence of the Mayor, Pere Granados.

Sosciathlon will organise the third edition of its solidarity race on Sunday 8th of October, helping to raise money for different organisations. This year the event will be held in Cambrils and organisers have encouraged 1,200 participants from 2016 to beat that number of registrations this year.

Last year the NGO raised 11.110 euros in this race, to help to finance projects in Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona (childhood cancer) and the Alianza Española de Familias Hippel-Lindau (a tumour disease with no cure).
